Here's how NOVARA works

From opening your account to depositing, withdrawing, and applying for more services, here's every step and what happens behind the scenes.

Step 1

Open your account

Choose a personal or business account. It takes a few minutes, and all you need to start is an email address.

  1. 1Enter your email and confirm it with the code we send you.
  2. 2Add your legal name, date of birth, and home address. Business owners add their business name too.
  3. 3Upload a photo of your ID and take a quick selfie.
  4. 4Create your password and submit. Our team reviews your application, usually within one business day, and emails you when your account is open.

Step 2

Add money

Deposit by bank wire, crypto, or gift card. Every deposit is checked by our team before it's credited.

  1. 1In the app, choose Add money and pick a method.
  2. 2Follow the instructions and send your deposit. For gift cards, enter the card details and add photos of both sides.
  3. 3We confirm it and credit your account. You get a notification, and the deposit appears in your activity with its reference.

Step 3

Withdraw when you need to

Send money to your bank by transfer or wire, or to your crypto wallet.

  1. 1Choose Withdraw, pick a method, and enter where to send it.
  2. 2The amount is set aside from your available balance straight away, so it can't be spent twice.
  3. 3Our team sends it, usually within one business day, and we notify you. If it can't be sent, the money goes straight back to your balance.

Step 4

Move and track every dollar

Transfer between your accounts and to other NOVARA members instantly, and see exactly where everything stands.

  1. 1Every transaction shows its status (pending, posted, or returned) with exact times and a reference.
  2. 2Notifications arrive the moment money moves.
  3. 3Download monthly statements and see your spending by category in Insights.

Step 5

Apply for more

Once your account is open, apply for business banking, a home loan, an investment account, or insurance from Services in the app.

  1. 1Pick a service and answer a few questions.
  2. 2Our team reviews your application and may message you for more information.
  3. 3When it's approved, your new account opens, your loan is paid into checking, or your policy number appears in the app.
